VIDEO ONE
7 steps to an efficient makeup application
In this video, I'm going to give you 7 steps to take to get more done in less time with your makeup application. I'm assuming you already have products you've been using, so we are going to go through them together to organize and improve your current timing.
Here's what you'll learn:
💄 How to be more efficient with your time while getting ready.
💄 Get rid of products you don't need or that are expired.
💄 Create a fun time frame to use while getting ready.
Your Action Steps:
Step 1: Get all of your makeup out and remove any products that you haven't used in 6 months or know you won't ever use. Click here for a basic list of products you should have
Step 2: Clean your existing products. Makeup can get messy and when your hands or brushes get dirty from products you're not meaning to use it can take more time to fix. Clean your makeup products first with a magic eraser. This will easily get all residue off without having to scrub.
Step 3: Organize your remaining products in the order you apply them in. This will help create a system so you can easily grab what you need without searching/digging through your makeup bag/drawer.
Step 4: For drawers, buy organizers to keep your products organized. If you're using a bag, purchase/use one with compartments vs. everything being thrown into one area. Click here to see a few recommendations
Step 5: Once your bag/drawer is organized, place your products back keeping them in the order that you will apply them in.
Step 6: Have everything you need in your getting ready space. Once you start the process of getting ready, you don't want to continue getting up/pausing while on the search for what you need. Click here for a list of additional items you may need.
Step 7: Create a (10-15min) playlist of your favorite songs to listen to while you get yourself ready. This will help you keep track of time in a fun way while getting ready. You should be finished by the time your playlist is over. Click here for my example playlists
